If you are looking for a gorgeous and unique wedding venue – look no further! My husband and I looked at over twenty venues in the Northern Virginia area and this venue was the best one by far. It is truly a dream wedding venue in every way. Working with the Rockwood Estate for our June wedding was an absolutely great experience. The owners and wedding coordinator made the process incredibly seamless. I was incredibly nervous going into the wedding process during a pandemic, but the Rockwood Estate could not have been a better place for my microwedding as their service was absolutely exceptional. The nature, scenery, and peaceful beauty had us in awe. Our guests not only enjoyed the gorgeous barn, but they were able to walk around the property and see the beautiful ponds, horses, peacocks, and chickens! The pictures do not do this venue justice – it is worth going to see it in person. The property is also 150 acres so there are so many potential locations for the ceremony. This is the BEST venue in the DMV for a fairytale wedding.

Our experience at Rockwood Estates was nothing short of magical. The property alone is so scenic that you don’t even need an occasion to feel like you’re in a fairy tale as you wander the fields. We decided to do a COVID wedding kind of last-minute but the owners helped make the process so much easier for us. The red door barn sets the stage for a perfect rustic yet elegant event. I was so thrilled to happen upon this great venue and hope to be back to celebrate many more occasions to come.

Wild Bill & Calamity Jane’s escape...
The magic was instant! As the black gates opened their arms to a glorious green retreat. The slow drive to the end of the path greets you with a fairytale log cabin, that belongs in a Wild West picture book. The inside is a gentle step back in time with a modern day cleanup; it is delightfully shiny and smiley in every room.
The view from the porch is captivating and there is a murmur of a sacred silence in the air. Yes...that silence was felt over the cicadas.
We are both humbled to have found this Virginia retreat and we cannot encourage those seeking ‘time out’ to nourish themselves at this place of idyllic magic...

My husband and I married at Rockwood Estate and Farm in May 2021, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding. Our special day was magical and full of love, laughter, warmth and joy. We still pour over our photos and relive the day. Most importantly, our guests had a wonderful time and still tell us how much they enjoyed our wedding and how unique it was. Everyone enjoyed the spectacular venue! The farmhouse, the barn and the views on the farm are stunning and bucolic. The owners of the farm are warm, gracious and welcoming – they made us feel at home and completely relaxed. We are so grateful to have celebrated our union at this special venue with our loved ones. We have a lifetime of beautiful memories to cherish and could not recommend Rockwood Estate and Farm enough!
